ŠKODA FAVORIT: Entering an era of success 30 years ago

30 years ago, ŠKODA entered a new era with the introduction of the modern FAVORIT hatchback. The premiere in September 1987 at the International Engineering Fair in Brno marked a turning point for the traditional Czech company. With its state-of-the-art design, as well as the combination of front engine and front-wheel drive, the ŠKODA FAVORIT was on par with Western competitors in its class. The agile compact model also excelled in rally racing.
