At the end of the production line, the car will start up and set off under its own power for a final inspection. For this to happen, the car needs to be “animated” using software. The worker in charge of this step brings the car to life using a special handheld device. While the electronics boot up, he checks certain details in the interior, such as the functionality of the sun visors or the glove compartment. Then he starts the car for the first time and drives it away.
