L&K motorcycle – Laurin & Klement products made their racing debut abroad in 1901, at Paris – Berlin. In the early 20th century, L&K motorcycles were driven by Narcis Podsedníček, Václav Vondřich and Čeněk Antonín Riegel. The routes were enormously long. For example, the total distance of the Paris – Vienna race was 1,750 kilometres. Riegel’s time in 1902 was 33 hrs 48 min 12.6 s.
