Following a contract extension this year, the partnership between ŠKODA and the Tour de France is set to last at least until 2023. ŠKODA is the Tour de France’s official main sponsor and the supplier of its cars. The 250 vehicles provided to the race organisers this year comprise not only OCTAVIAs and SUPERBs, but also SUVs – KAROQs and KODIAQs.
Throughout the race, a striking red SUPERB rigged with communication technology will be driven ahead of the peloton. It is from this car that the director Christian Prudhomme will be running the race. It is the only car allowed to drive through the finish line with the cyclists.
