The new ŠKODA OCTAVIA RS will get you in 60 seconds

Now in its fourth generation, the ŠKODA OCTAVIA continues to be available in an RS version. The range of OCTAVIA models is now wider than ever before, including an electric RS iV.

Three powertrain options

For the first time in history, customers wanting an OCTAVIA RS can choose from three different powertrains. In addition to the traditional petrol version, which delivers 245 horsepower, there is the plug-in hybrid RS iV, which generates the same power from its combination of an 85 kW electric motor and a 100 kW four-cylinder 1.4 TSI engine. The third option is a 200 horsepower turbo diesel.

Two bodies, two drivetrain options

Like many other OCTAVIA versions, the sporty RS and RS iV come as either a liftback or estate. All-wheel drive is an option for the diesel-engine version. Most RS versions have a DSG automatic transmission, but a six-speed manual gearbox is available for the petrol version.

Fun behind the wheel

It’s not just the muscular powertrains that make the OCTAVIA RS such a pleasure to drive. Drivers will thrill to the precise, progressive handling and can rely on the chassis to stay firm and wonderfully transparent. A DCC adaptive chassis is also available upon request.

Unmistakably RS

The OCTAVIA RS’s sleek and sporty design and accessories make it unmistakable. Unlike the other OCTAVIA versions, the RS has a reworked front and rear bumper, as well as the RS logo, of course. Many of the body details, such as the radiator grille, front and rear bumper diffusers, external rear-view mirror covers and side window trims have a glossy black paint finish.

Sporty interior

The RS model’s sporty nature is reflected in its interior as well. Highlights include sports seats with integrated headrests and Alcantara leather upholstery, while a new feature is the multi-function three-spoke steering wheel emblazoned with the RS logo. The pedals feature aluminium décor and parts of the upholstery have decorative red or silver-grey stitching.

Comfort and practicality

Despite all its sports credentials, the OCTAVIA RS remains a highly practical and comfortable car. It goes without saying that the RS boasts a huge luggage space, like the entire OCTAVIA line.
