Mladá Boleslav, 5 December 2022 – ŠKODA AUTO presents the ENYAQ RS iV: With the new top version of the battery-electric SUV, ŠKODA AUTO is expanding its sporty RS family to include a second all-electric model alongside the ENYAQ COUPÉ RS iV. With this move, the Czech car manufacturer is taking its electric campaign to new heights. Three more all-new e-models will be launched by 2026. The goal is to offer a complete range of electric products from small cars to 7-seaters and boost the BEV share of deliveries in Europe to more than 70% by 2030. Like the coupé variant, the ENYAQ RS iV also features two electric motors and all-wheel drive with a total system output of 220 kW* and a range of over 500 kilometres** in the WLTP cycle. A maximum charging power of 135 kW enables even faster charging at compatible charging points. In addition to the two Design Selections RS Lounge and RS Suite and comprehensive standard and safety equipment, ŠKODA is offering two new option packages for the ENYAQ RS iV, Advanced and Maxx, giving the range an even clearer structure. The Czech car manufacturer is also making extensive use of recycled and recyclable materials in the ENYAQ RS iV and delivering it to customers with a CO₂-neutral balance sheet.
The new ENYAQ RS iV is the second all-electric model in ŠKODA’s sporty RS range. Just like the ENYAQ COUPÉ RS iV, the SUV has a sporty, emotive appearance and comes with the most powerful drivetrain in ŠKODA’s current portfolio. The two electric motors, one on the front and the other on the rear axle, deliver a system output of 220 kW*, and the maximum torque of 460 Nm is transmitted to all four wheels via all-wheel drive. With a top speed of 180 km/h, it is 20 km/h faster than the other ENYAQ iV models. The maximum range of over 500 kilometres** in the WLTP cycle is possible thanks to its combination of an 82 kWh battery and high energy efficiency along with an outstanding drag coefficient of cd 0.265.
Impressive handling and spaciousness
The ENYAQ RS iV boasts excellent handling, with sports suspension, progressive steering and all-wheel drive as standard, while the generous space for up to five people makes it the perfect companion for everyday driving. The inherent advantages of the Volkswagen Group’s Modular Electrification Toolkit (MEB), such as the elimination of the centre tunnel and the long wheelbase of 2,768 millimetres, ensure plenty of legroom, especially in the rear. The boot capacity is 585 litres, with enough space for up to 1,710 litres of luggage after folding down the rear seats. The ENYAQ iV family models are produced in Mladá Boleslav, making ŠKODA’s main plant the only production site in Europe outside Germany where MEB models roll off the production line.
Advanced and Maxx option packages make the range structure even clearer
ŠKODA AUTO has made the range structure even clearer with the introduction of the ENYAQ RS iV. First, one of the two RS-exclusive Design Selections – RS Lounge or RS Suite – is chosen, before numerous additional equipment features can be added as part of the new Advanced and Maxx option packages. Some extras, such as the heat pump, trailer hitch and panoramic sunroof, are still available separately.
State-of-the-art infotainment and comprehensive safety features
Since the ENYAQ iV is always online, the vehicle software can be kept up to date with over-the-air updates. In addition to media content such as podcasts and videos, vehicle functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) can also be accessed on demand. In addition, many ŠKODA Connect services are specially designed for electric vehicles. The ENYAQ iV also delivers state-of-the-art active and passive safety; all the safety systems currently available from ŠKODA are available for the SUV, along with up to nine airbags. Full LED matrix headlights come as standard, and Travel Assist now offers new features such as Urban Evasive Steering Support, which detects parked vehicles, roadworks, traffic islands and intersections, for example, and assists with evasive manoeuvres in the event of an imminent collision.
Zero local emissions and extensive use of environmentally friendly materials
As a member of the ENYAQ iV family, the all-electric ENYAQ RS iV produces no emissions locally. In addition, ŠKODA consistently uses recyclable and reused materials such as recycled plastics and glass, thus reducing CO₂ emissions during the production process. ŠKODA AUTO compensates for unavoidable emissions through certified carbon credits, enabling it to deliver all ENYAQ iV models to customers with a CO₂-neutral balance sheet.
Advantages of electric mobility
Drivers of the new ŠKODA ENYAQ RS iV will enjoy the benefits of the ŠKODA iV ecosystem and will be able to charge at more than 400,000 points across Europe using a single POWERPASS card. This also includes around 15,000 fast charging points at over 5,000 locations. A charging capacity of 135 kW is available at compatible charging stations for even faster charging. It is also possible to charge without a card at special charging points using the new ‘Plug & Charge’ function, with the ENYAQ RS iV identifying itself automatically. For convenient at-home charging, ŠKODA AUTO offers three versions of its ŠKODA iV Charger Wallboxes, with installation included on request. Depending on the relevant national regulations, electric vehicles attract numerous benefits, such as tax incentives, cash bonuses, the possibility of using special bus and environmental lanes as well as free parking in city centres and unrestricted access to local public transport.

* Maximum electrical power 220 kW: Maximum power determined in accordance with UN-GTR.21 that can be engaged for a maximum of 30 seconds. The power available in individual driving situations depends on various factors, including the temperature outdoors, the temperature of the high-voltage battery, and its charging status, condition and physical ageing. The maximum power is only available if the temperature of the high-voltage battery is between 23 and 50°C and its charge level exceeds 88%. If these parameters are not met, the maximum power may be reduced or unavailable. The battery temperature can to a certain degree be influenced indirectly via the stationary air conditioning function, and the charge level can be set in the vehicle. The currently available power is shown on the vehicle’s driving performance screen. To optimally maintain the capacity of the high-voltage battery, a charging target of 80% is recommended for everyday use (this can be changed to 100% before long-distance journeys, for example).
