AUTO BILD readers were asked to vote online for their favourites in seven categories by 8 September 2019. According to the German Federal Motor Transport Authority, the nominees were vehicles that recorded the most new registrations in the first six months of 2019.
Small cars used commercially are primarily found in urban areas and have to be particularly practical, agile and efficient. The ŠKODA FABIA prevailed in this category, having been voted the favourite amongst its fellow import company car nominees. Its advantages include its generous and versatile interior space, the particularly high level of comfort-enhancing equipment for its segment, useful accessories and its conservative fuel consumption.
Compact cars are particularly popular amongst professionals who spend a lot of time on the road. The OCTAVIA is ŠKODA’s centrepiece and bestselling model range. In its third generation, the car combines a generous amount of space, a high level of functionality, numerous safety and comfort features as well as great value for money to create a harmonious overall package. The readers could not agree more with this, hence why they voted the OCTAVIA the best compact import car.
In the SUV segment, the ŠKODA KAROQ took first place amongst the import models. A spacious interior and ultra-modern optional extras such as the Virtual Cockpit are convincing arguments for the compact SUV.
A car must not only feature the attributes required for an office on wheels, it must also offer state-of-the-art technology at the very best prices – that’s why the ŠKODA SUPERB is the perfect car for a line manager or boss. Plenty of space for passengers and luggage as well as modern assistance systems spoke for the SUPERB, which was voted best import model in the mid-size car segment. Since May 2019, ŠKODA’s comprehensively revised flagship has also scored points with new technologies such as Predictive Cruise Control and Side Assist, as well as with its upgraded interior. What’s more, ŠKODA now also offers the SUPERB – the company’s first model in its history – as a plug-in hybrid.
