The name of the compact notchback saloon harks back to the early days of the company and the first bicycles sold by founding fathers Václav Laurin and Václav Klement in Mladá Boleslav from 1896. The exterior of the new SLAVIA is marked by an emotive design language, with balanced proportions and a coupé-style silhouette. Its signature spacious interior is characterised by a free-standing infotainment display, striking round air vents and ŠKODA lettering embossed on the sides of the cockpit cover.
Like the KUSHAQ SUV, the ŠKODA SLAVIA is based on the MQB-A0-IN version of the Volkswagen Group’s Modular Transverse Matrix, specially adapted by ŠKODA AUTO to meet the requirements of the Indian market. Most of the technical development was handled by the ŠKODA AUTO Technology Centre in Pune, India.
The world premiere will begin on 18 November at 14:00 local time (IST) / 9:30 CET and will be broadcast live across the world on the ŠKODA Storyboard.
