In the 3/2018 issue of ‘Auto Test’ magazine, the ŠKODA SUPERB 2.0 TDI 110 kW (150 hp) prevailed over its strong competitors, achieving a total of 641 points. The elegant saloon not only took the gold medal in this direct comparison, but also achieved the best result among all imported vehicles tested over the past twelve months. The trade magazine highlights the “best space” and its “user-friendly infotainment” in particular. The conclusion: “The ŠKODA is the class leader. Huge and very practical. Excellent ride comfort and handling.”
“We are delighted to receive this new award for the ŠKODA SUPERB, which convinced the panel at ‘Auto Test’ with its unique characteristics,” says Stefan N. Quary, Head of Sales at ŠKODA AUTO Deutschland GmbH, at the award ceremony in Cologne.
Since 2008, ‘Auto Test’ has been awarding the best vehicles in various categories from the previous twelve months. Every year, the experts evaluate around 500 cars of all classes and cover more than one million kilometres on test tracks. In the comparison tests, criteria such as vehicle quality and driving performance play just as important a role as the resale value, additional charges and operating costs. The topic of security is also included in the evaluation.
ŠKODA is one of the serial winners of this prestigious award. In 2014 and 2015, the ŠKODA OCTAVIA COMBI won in the import rankings. In 2016, the ŠKODA SUPERB COMBI achieved the best overall result among import vehicles. Last year, the spacious titan came second only to the newly launched ŠKODA KODIAQ.
