The new battery’s capacity has increased to 25.7 kWh. AC charging points with a charging capacity of up to 11 kW or DC charging points with a charging capacity of up to 40 kW can be used for quick recharging.

The intuitive multifunction Smart Dials make it easy to control the air-conditioning, seat heating/ventilation, volume, driving modes and other selected vehicle functions. The automatic transmission’s gear selector has been relocated to the steering column so that it is nearer to the steering wheel. This has made the centre console more spacious and uncluttered.

The last generation of the Superb comes with a host of new and improved driver-assistance systems. For example, they can help drivers to negotiate junctions safely or assist them when sudden evasive action is required. When they reach their destination, the Superb takes control and parks itself.

A mobile app can be used to remotely control some of the car’s functions, e.g. to activate the air-conditioning. The large battery capacity means the interior can be heated or cooled minutes before departure to make starting off in cold or hot weather more comfortable.
