Minutes from car production: seats and steering wheel

Have you ever tested how heavy the seats in modern cars are? Their considerable weight is due to all the comfort and safety features seats are endowed with. And it’s why a special manipulator arm is used to move the seats on the production line, allowing the worker to easily grab the seat and simply slide it into the car through the door opening. The driver’s seat is the first to go into the Škoda Kodiaq, followed immediately by the steering wheel: the outer ring is fitted first, and then the operator adds the centre section with the airbag.
