Winter holiday in the Czech Republic

A car must be equipped with winter tyres in winter conditions (snow, frost) from 1 November to 31 March. There are sections on a number of mountain roads, however, (but also the D1 motorway in the Bohemian–Moravian Highlands) marked by the winter equipment signs and where they are mandatory regardless of current weather (although the signs apply only in winter).
