The Škoda Elroq is the first car to bring the Modern Solid design language to customers. “Modern Solid is based on three key values – it is sophisticated, functional and authentic,” explains Škoda chief designer Oliver Stefani.

Take a look at what those involved in making the Elroq have to say about the design:

“For the first time, we’ve used the new brand logo in the form of Škoda lettering on the really wide bonnet ridge,” says Karl Neuhold, head of exterior design, describing one of the new features. Another new feature he can’t not mention is the Tech-Deck Face radiator grille, which conceals the car’s sensors and is visually linked to the edge of the bonnet, which again ends in a curve typical of Škoda cars.

During the presentation, Neuhold also highlights the robust but supremely aerodynamic bumpers and the new design of the car’s headlights, composed of individual segments.

Head of interior design Chan Park praises the work of Škoda’s designers, resulting in a regal interior space for a compact electric SUV. “We have a modern cockpit with an improved user experience design,” Park mentions one practical detail.

And his colleague Kateřina Vránová from Color & Trim describes the new materials in the interior as well as some new and surprising details. “We’ve replaced the shiny chrome elements with a sleek dark chrome finish,” Vránová mentions one of the sustainability features.

Elroq also uses sustainable leatherette, while the fabric upholstery contains recycled polyester. Orange seat belts form an attractive interior detail in the Lodge version.
