The modernised version of the Škoda Kamiq has a lot to offer. It’s still a versatile crossover for a wide range of occasions, and now it’s been given slightly more confident looks and upgraded tech features.
The Kamiq now has a more pronounced front end with a more upright radiator grille that enhances the car’s rugged looks. Like Škoda’s other SUVs, the Kamiq has distinctive split headlights. Advanced LED Matrix technology is also available now.
The raised seating position is a traditional feature making it easier to get into the car, but the electronic equipment is new. The infotainment system with lots of connectivity options has a display up to 9 inches in diagonal, and the driver keeps an eye on key driving data on a digital instrument panel – the Virtual Cockpit now comes as standard. For smartphones there’s a dedicated place with wireless phone charging and cooling.
The Kamiq is also a practical car, as demonstrated not only by its spacious cabin, but also by a number of Simply Clever details, such as door edge protection. Under the bonnet we find TSI engines delivering 95 to 150 hp, which can be combined with manual or DSG automatic transmissions.
