The second generation of the Škoda Kodiaq is on its way to customers. The new car has been given a confident design makeover, emphasising the huge interior space this popular SUV offers the occupants.

The state-of-the-art Top LED Matrix headlights and the horizontal light strip between them give the car’s front end a distinctive look. The shape of the bumpers, the wheel arches and up to 20-inch wheels emphasise the model’s rugged character. The stylish detail of the rear (D) pillar in Dark Chrome, which is also the colour appearing on other details, accentuates the car’s elegance, while also hinting at its spaciousness.

Specifically, the boot offers up to 910 litres of space and the second-generation Kodiaq can again seat seven. The interior is very comfortable for the occupants, honouring traditional Škoda values like symmetrical layout and an emphasis on functionality and sustainability. At the same time, it comes with modern features such as a large 13-inch infotainment display and Smart Dials. There are also a number of Škoda’s popular Simply Clever details.

The new Kodiaq has also been endowed with more advanced suspension, including the next-generation Dynamic Chassis Control, which responds faster to changing conditions and has a wider range of damper settings. The result is an even more comfortable ride and more confident handling. The driving experience is enhanced by a range of assistance systems, such as the ability to park the car remotely using a smartphone. Needless to say, there’s no shortage of safety features as well.

Under the bonnet there are powerful petrol, diesel and – for the first time in the case of a large SUV – plug-in hybrid power units, with outputs ranging from 110 to 150 kW. DSG automatic transmission (now with steering column selector) comes as standard, and all-wheel drive is also available.
